Reunion Weekend Wrap-up

The 2005 reunion was held in Hamlet July 29 and July 30, 2005. 

The events:

Friday, July 29, 2005: 

6 p.m.  Informal evening in Seaboard Terminal rotunda with heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks served

Saturday, July 30, 2005:

10 a.m. - 11:30   Brunch at Main Street Cafe across from Mabry's Drug Store, hosted by Roberta and Earl Butler.

12:00  Tour of the Seaboard Depot was conducted by a member of the Hamlet Depot board for our class members immediately following the breakfast.

7 p.m.   Reunion was held at The Ballroom on Hamlet Avenue (formerly Levine's Department Store).  A group picture was taken at 7:30, followed by reunion welcoming remarks, dinner and dancing.  A class directory was given to each class member who attended this event.

Facts and Figures

We had 105 in our graduating class.  10 are deceased, leaving 95 of us.  Roberta does not know where 6 members are -- if you can help locate these, please let her know.

Out of the remaining 89 members, 54 attended;  with only 35 not attending, we had a 61 percent turnout.  With spouses and guests, 91 people were present.

  If you missed the reunion and would like a booklet anyway, you may purchase one from Roberta for $10.  That includes mailing it to you and the money goes into the class account.  She also has a few booklets from the 2000 reunion available for $5.
