December 3, 1942 - April 6, 1998
Mr. Robert Lee Mallard III, 55, died Monday,
April 6, 1998. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, St. James United
Methodist Church. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Mallard, a native of
Augusta, Georgia, received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the
University of Richmond and his master's degree in marriage and family therapy from East
Carolina University. He was employed with Wachovia Bank as a regional mortgage
banker. He was also a stockbroker with Interstate Johnson Lane and a vice president
and personal investment counselor with BB&T. Mr. Mallard was a U.S. Navy veteran
of the Vietnam War and a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Surviving: wife, Janis Colbert Mallard;
daughters, Emilie Mallard Gray of Charlotte and Caroline Mallard Rohs of Greenville;
stepdaughter, Jana Holland Watkins of Raleigh; stepson, Louis Colbert Holland of New
Hampshire; sister, Charlotte Mallard French of Brandon, Florida; two grandchildren.
Visitation 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wilkerson
Funeral Home.
