Heat in a sauce pan:
2 cups burgundy wine
2 cups cranberry juice or cranberry juice mixture, such as Cran-cherry
1/2 to 1 cup sugar, depending on your sweetness preference
1/8 to 1/4 cup lemon juice, depending on your tartness preference
optional: up to 1 cup water
Toss in:
2 sticks cinnamon
3 or 4 whole cloves
7-10 whole allspice berries
Simmer until your whole house fills with the spicy aroma!
