According to the 1830 Census for Wayne County, Bryan had a son that was between 15 and 20 years old, which would have been John's age. Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.

BROACH, BROCHE, GARDNER, GARNER, PARISH, PARRISH, SMITH, WILLIAMSON posted by Bobbie Williamson-Dabbs Ledbetter on Sunday, November 8, 1998

William WILLIAMSON (Will Oct. 1767, Charleston, S. C.) lived on Bear Creek, N.C. (old Johnston Co., N.C.; presently it separates Wayne, Lenoir, etc.) He also had land in Kingstree, S.C. (Old Craven Co., Prince Fredericks Parish; now Williamsburg Co.) He listed his wife as Mary in his will. I need to be certain that he is the same William Williamson, son of William Williamson who lived in old Bertie Co., N.C., and married Mary, the widow of Richard Malpas/s. My branch of his children went on down to live in S.C. There was an early connection to the BRIGHT, HINDS/HINES, GARDNER, SMITH, PARRISH/PARISH, and BROACH/BROCHE FAMILIES that I know of. I have been told that the Malpas/s family also went down to the S.C. area, and that there is a Malpas/s family living around Darlington/Florence now. I have been searching for a connection for a number of years without any success. I would be most grateful for any help. My e-mail address is: blsl@ij.net Thanks - Bobbie Williamson-Dabbs Ledbetter

ARNOLD, BIZZELL, COOR posted by Milford Kirby on Wednesday, November 11, 1998

Seek contact with descendants of Nancy BIZZELL, born about 1802 in Wayne County, daughter of Isaac Bizzell. Nancy moved with her family to Williamson County, Tennessee, in the early 1800s. She married William COOR (also of Wayne County NC) in 1819 in Williamson County TN. They then moved to Lowndes County, Mississippi, where Nancy lived at least until 1860 census. William Coor apparently died between 1840 and 1850. Nancy moved again, with her daughter, Kate Coor Arnold, to Columbia, Brazoria County, Texas, where she appears in the household of Wiley Arnold for the 1870 census. Would like to compare family history notes.
