BROACH, BROCHE, GARDNER, GARNER, PARISH, PARRISH, SMITH, WILLIAMSON posted by Bobbie Williamson-Dabbs Ledbetter on Sunday, November 8, 1998

William WILLIAMSON (Will Oct. 1767, Charleston, S. C.) lived on Bear Creek, N.C. (old Johnston Co., N.C.; presently it separates Wayne, Lenoir, etc.) He also had land in Kingstree, S.C. (Old Craven Co., Prince Fredericks Parish; now Williamsburg Co.) He listed his wife as Mary in his will. I need to be certain that he is the same William Williamson, son of William Williamson who lived in old Bertie Co., N.C., and married Mary, the widow of Richard Malpas/s. My branch of his children went on down to live in S.C. There was an early connection to the BRIGHT, HINDS/HINES, GARDNER, SMITH, PARRISH/PARISH, and BROACH/BROCHE FAMILIES that I know of. I have been told that the Malpas/s family also went down to the S.C. area, and that there is a Malpas/s family living around Darlington/Florence now. I have been searching for a connection for a number of years without any success. I would be most grateful for any help. My e-mail address is: blsl@ij.net Thanks - Bobbie Williamson-Dabbs Ledbetter
