Conducting research on the Joseph (Joe) B. Braddy, b. December 25, 1824 in Johnston County, NC. Joe was married to Fannie (?), b. 1842 in IN (possibly a second marriage for both). The Joe Braddy family was located in the Abilene, TX area in 1880 Census. Joe Braddy was included in the family census of John M. and Margaret L. (Braddy) Simpson in Cooke County, TX in the 1910 Census. Fannie at age 55 and son Charley at age 23, b. 1883 last known residence in Ada- area (Ada-Indian Territory Census of 1906). Fannie Braddy is suspected to have been buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Ada OK sometime after early 1912. Fannie was also mentioned in a 1911 edition of the Ada Evening News. Joe accompanied his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret (Maggie) L. Braddy and John M. Simpson, to Teton County, WY. Joseph died on November 5, 1916 in Jackson WY and is buried in Aspen Cemetery in Teton County, WY. Joe was recorded as a widower at the time of his death. Joe had the following children: Margaret L. Braddy, b 1867 in TX. {Maggie married rancher/cattleman John M. Braddy b. 1874 in TX and married R. Alford 1 Mar 1893 in Graham, TX; George E. Braddy b. 1876 in TX. Joe Braddy is believed to have had a stepson by the name of Andy Chapman who was killed in an Indian raid. "It was about 1864 that a Mr. Kellis and a boy named Andy Chapman, were charged by Indians about four miles east of the present town of Whitt, in Parker County. Andy Chapman was riding a pony that had been taught to pitch when touched behind the saddle. During these critical moments, the Chapman boy accidentally placed his hand on the pony's hip, and was thrown to the ground. Before young Chapman could again mount his steed the Indians were upon him, and in short time he was killed. Mr. Kellis successfully escaped. Andy Chapman was a stepson of Joe Braddy." Any information on the Braddy, Simpson, Chapman or Alford family connections would be appreciated. Best Regards, James “Roger” Braddy RogerBraddy2004@yahoo.com

I am searching for information on Eliza Pike who married Daniel Williams in 1870. Her parents are listed as Lewis Pike and Patasey Pike. I believe that she later married Thomas Jackson. In the 1880 census Thomas and Eliza Jackson are listed with the following children: Fred L. Williams, Hattie Williams and Carl V. Williams. On Fred Williams's death certificate his parents are listed as Daniel Williams and Eliza Pike. The family story is that Fred was adopted when he was little, so this would explain the 1880 census listing him as Thomas Jackson's son. I would appreciate any help in making a connection with these two families.
