n the name of God Amen

I Henry Britt Senior of Wayne County and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form to wit:

Item 1: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Anna Britt one negro girl by the name of Tillor, one mare by the name of flower, one bridle and saddle, one chest, one flax wheel, two woolen, two tubs, one pale, one piggon, two chear fraims.  I lend to my beloved wife Anna Britt during her natural life or widowhood one feather bed and furnature, the use of the room where we sleep and part of the hall room.

Item 2:  I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecka Layton three negroes by the names of Jula, Lizza and Jeremiah to her and her lawfull begotten heirs of her body in lieu of the money that her grandfather willed to her.

Item 3:  I give and bequeath to my son William Britt  one dollar.

Item 4:  I give and bequeath to the lawfull heirs of Kinchen Britt one dollar and no more.

Item 5:   I give and bequeath to my son John Britt one negro boy by the name of George to him and his heirs forever.

Item 6:  I give and bequeath to my son Jesse Britt one one negro girl by the name of Cristian to him and his heirs forever.

Item 7:  I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Britt one negro boy by the name of Lewis to him and his heirs forever.

Item 8:  I give and bequeath to my grandson John William Britt one negro boy by the name of Abram.

Item 9:  I give and bequeath to my grandson Henry Britt the son of Thomas Britt after the death of of my wife one feather bed and furnature.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Britt all the stock of horses, Cattle, hogs and sheep, all the kitchen furnature and all the house furnature that is not my wife's, all the farming tools of every kid also the corn and fodder that I may have at my death.

Item - I five and bequeath to my daughter Pennelope Penelton one dollar and no more.

 tem - I give and bequeath to my son Henry Britt one dollar and no more.

I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Benjamin Britt the whole sole executor of this my last will and testament and do utterly hereby disannul and revoke all and every other will or wills by me heretofore made.  In witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal February 24, 1830.
